Candace Cameron Bure Is Leaving Hallmark To Work At GAC Family Channel

Candace Cameron Bure is an actress and talk show host best known for her role on Full House as D.J. Tanner, which she reprised as D.J. Tanner-Fuller on Fuller House.

The veteran actress finished third on Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars in 2014. The actress also appeared in “Make It or Break It” as Summer van Horne.

The host co-hosted the daytime television talk show The View from 2015 to 2016.

Candace Cameron Bure ultimately chose to leave Hallmark in order to pursue a larger career at GAC Family, Hallmark’s current main competitor.

According to TVLine, the actress will not only act in and produce original content for the cable network but will also take on an executive role within the company.

The actress will also join the fledgling media company as an executive, where she will “oversee and curate programming for the networks as a whole.”

The Hallmark spokesperson told Variety, “Candace and Crown Media have worked together for over a decade. We respect her decision and appreciate all she has done.”

Candace Cameron Bure Going To GAC Family Network For Exploring Various Roles

GAC was formerly known as Great American Country before being relaunched by former CEO/Hallmark executive Bill Abbott after his departure from Hallmark.

GAC will also work with Candace Cameron Bure’s production company, Candy Rock Entertainment, to create original content.
