             Is there anything I can do to help you?  Videos, tutorials, lives, quick stretch tips? Let me know   
             One thing that I would love to bring your awareness to when stretching is what’s going on in the actual overall joint and skeletal structure. And how this is impacted by your stretching.  
              For example: If I spend 10minutes stretching out my hipflexors (front of hips) and I spend no time that week consciously activating and strengthening the opposing muscles  My Hip extensors (hamstrings, glutes) I’m actually doing my hip joint a disservice.   
              Each joint needs a combination of strength & mobility coupled with flexibility from the surrounding muscles and to do this we need to always strive for balance. 
              For me I need to swing my balance back to mobility & flexibility to match the strength work I’ve been doing.

             This simple but challenging workout is straight from Week 2 of my Core & Body Connection challenge so save this to try at home!  
             WORKOUT: 
             ⚡️Straight leg kick back x 12 ⚡️Straight leg pulse x 15 ⚡️Kick back with knee bend x10 ⚡️Plank to hover x 10 ⚡️Side plank leg lift x 8 ⚡️Bridges x 20 ⚡️Tricep dips x 12 ⚡️Pike to plank x 8 
             Do this as an express workout or If your game try this 2 or 3 times through.   
              Make sure your chair is on a stable and non slippery surface!  Move mindfully into the plank exercises so each movement stays centred.

              You need to SAVE this recipe for your next vegetarian meal!  
              
             This Brown Rice & Sweet potato salad is super filling and SO good! Even my meat loving bf N/A this one!   
             Swipe to see all the filling   
             Recipe:  Chop sweet potato & cauliflower coat in olive oil, salt, pepper & mixed herbs. Place in the oven for 35-45mins until roasted. ✨I also put paprika on the Cauli gives it a nice bit of flavour!  Cook brown rice in boiling water 25-30mins. Drain and allow to cool.  Chop broccoli & trim green beans into small pieces. Toss on the frypan in a dash of olive oil until just cooked but still crunchy. 
             PUT IT ALL TOGETHER: 
              Start with a bed of fresh spinach leaves  Layer on top brown rice  Then grilled greens  Then roasted sweet potato & Cauli  Add a generous amount of Pepita seeds or nut/seed of your choice. 
             Serve with fresh lemon and goats Feta   I use the olive oil from the Goats cheese to drizzle on top with lemon.

             As your Trainer I want you to always feel your best in your own body, so I feel we need to normalise Ebbs & Flows in our fitness journeys more. You are not weak, lazy or anything else you’ve thought if you listen to your body and slow your workouts down for a day or a period of time. You are simply taking care of yourself.  
             I’m seeing a common theme that women are thinking that to feel their best they have to constantly be working out at their peak level of fitness day in and day out. 
             This is simply not true. I’ve been training people for almost 20 years including lots of elite & professional athletes and I’m here to tell you that I’ve never seen anyone that can sustain their absolute peak level of fitness every workout for years and years. This might be because your body gets to a point where it needs to slow the intensity down in order to progress, injury may pause you, your energy may be very low, family/work etc are taking up more time. Whatever the reason is this is all normal.  
             As long as you stay active in someway that is the main thing! It doesn’t matter if it’s not your usual intensity.  
             Sometimes our bodies need days or weeks of less load or less intensity in our workouts and more downtime in order to rise to the next challenge.  
             I think that’s why I’ve always been drawn to Pilates because when my body or my mind needs to really come down a notch I can still move slowly and mindfully without placing any extra stress on my body and when I’m ready to kick it up a gear I can absolutely whip my butt with a pilates sesh too!  
             So next time your scrolling through your feed thinking everyone’s so strong and fit all the time remember this is the highlight reel and you most likely don’t know how they are truly feeling or how their fitness journey has taken ebbs & flows over the years. (Mine certainly has!)  
             Keep turning back to your inner spotlight and focus on what you need for you to keep your light shining bright right now   
             Progress is rarely ever linear it comes in all different directions
